I personally think that this design was my favorite out of the 4. I created a word search print where "fair", "play", and "vodka" are highlighted but I added other words in the word search that are representative of North Carolina. I have incorporated "North", "Carolina", "Yall", "To Be" (which is the first 2 translated words of NC's motto), "Longleaf", "Pine", and "Tar Heel". If the name of the vodka wasn't clear enough, I added it normally spelt out in a sort of typewriter font, alongside the tagline, and the volume and alcohol content.
This might be my second favorite. This design is pretty simple, but also fun and colorful. I used 3 main colors, Republican Red, Democrat Blue, and Tar Heel Blue, nodding to the political overtones of the name as well as the state of North Carolina. At the top, I included 2 cardinals as they are the state bird of North Carolina. Below that is the name of the vodka in a blocked, yet thin font which I saw fit. Continuing on, there's North Carolina in white atop the Tar Heel blue, the ABV, and then the motto. I made the motto have a shadow effect of two colors to play off the motto itself. At the bottom, I included a cartoon-esque drink that would be identical to what a vodka cocktail would look like. Lastly, a scan-able QR code would send them to the distiller's website
I tried to keep this one simple and I think that it came out clean. The name is typed vertically with a star replacing the "A", but altered to resemble an "A" beyond what it already does. I then chose to use a cursive font for the motto going up the side as I find that to be typical of the South (maybe y'all don't agree, I don't know but it makes sense to me). I also chose to make the colors of the types mirror that of the North Carolina flag if it was rotated -90 degrees- blue on the bottom, red on the left, and white on the right.
This one was hard for me because I couldn't figure out the best way to make this North Carolina centric, but I was able to make 2 designs you'll see that I am proud of. On the left, you have tiger claw marks placed under the North Carolina state silhouette atop a font that I personally think really works with this design. On the right, North Carolina is replaced with a typical eye of a big cat, with a pupil in the shape of North Carolina's state silhouette. Between the two, I'm not sure which I like more so I wanted to show you both. I didn't know if that tagline was actually "More approachable than you'd think" or if that was just a general comment on the fact that the name is a bit harder to work with. I think this one fulfills the cool, crisp, eye-catching, sexy design since it is placed on a matte black bottle.
