NƯỚC MẮM TĨN Brochure

This is a brochure for Tĩn fishsauce, a traditional fishsauce brand in Phu Hai. Phan Thiet, Vietnam. It's a school project in my second year of college (2018).
The Old fishing village
No doubt fish sauce has always been an important part of the country's culinary and cultural customs for at least hundred of years. Known as the cradle of fish-sauce making in Vietnam, Phan Thiet has been producing the amber salty liquid since the early 18th century. In the old days, the sauce was brewed in large wooden vats and then poured into pottery jars for boat transport on the local Cà Ty River to all corners of the country.
To give fish sauce the credit it deserves, a man who grew up in Bình Hưng fishing village in Phan Thiết City built the first fish sauce museum in Vietnam and a whole art performance dedicated to the craft.

Illustrations
Every illustration in this brochure was hand-drawn with a pencil, because I wanted to give my design a rustic and nostalgic feeling. I occasionally incorporate photographs of fish sauce drop. They are so vibrant and beautiful that they pop out against the fine pencil lines. Rustic they might be, the pencil drawings was meant to highlight the delicacy of the fish sauce making art with my pencil drawings.
