Dream Logic is a research project which aims to explore the possibilities of using the illogical dream thoughts and events in contributing to the creative process.
The research is divided into three main parts; the science and the psychology behind dreams based on the writings of the psychoanalyst Sigmund Freud, the history of dream-inspired art as well as movements, and the correlation between cinema and dreams based on the Oneiric Film Theory.
The objective behind this research is to transform those dream ideas into an expressible form of art; like paintings or films.The findings will serve as a guide to create a short 3 to 5 minute film that is inspired from dreams, through keeping a dream journal to document dreams during a 3 months period.
