Fashion Product and Industry Practice

This project took place in Year 2, Term 3 in response to the rapidly developing corona virus pandemic; creating garments to suit a new consumer. The aim was to create a sustainable woven shirt and a technical sports bra and investigate the development of this product - from carrying out primary and secondary research of the market and the brand, to trend research in order to create a concept board. I decided to use Vivienne Westwood for this project; creating Tech Pacs and creating a detailed supply chain.
The inspiration with the shirt was to up-cycle stock that would have been sat in stores, that may no longer be appropriate and turning it into a patchwork lounge shirt.
The concept behind the sports bra was to create a comfortable piece that can go from a zoom meeting to a home workout, and looking good whilst doing it. The design was inspired by the classic Westwood corsets - offering a new product for the brand but beeng implanted effortlessly.
