"Wild" garden flowers

I always loved flowers, so this year I decided to make flowers as my main topic. For one of my projects, I decided to create flower icons. At first, I wanted to concentrate on one particular flower - rose. However, after multiple sketching, I realized that I am not that interested to work on one flower only. That is why I changed my concept and decided to create 12 icons for 12 different flowers. For my project, I decided to not put them in a pot. I decided that each one of my flowers should have a stem, and maybe a couple of leaves. Even though most of the flowers I created are garden flowers, I wanted them to look a little bit wild and imperfect. Every garden flower was a wildflower at some point.

When I did my sketches I looked up the images of specific flowers on the internet and I also used my own photographs of the specific flowers. Those pictures helped me to figure out some details. I also left some notes on aside for myself, which helped me in a creating process.
This is one of my final drafts. Even though I did not receive much feedback this time, it still helped very much. One of my friends said that he liked how I showed thorns on a rose. I don't have any thorns on my rose. This comment helped me to realize that my clove flower looks more like a rose than a clove. Because of that feedback, I was able to make some changes to this icon.
In my final set, I did my best to make icons look like they belong together. I made some changes that people would be able to figure out which flower it is by looking at them. I wanted to make all of my flowers to look simple and different from each other at the same time.
