This project is a good example of how positive and negative shapes can form an interesting composition. By using black and white letters you are able to create contrast, and by changing the sizes of the letters it gives variety which pleases the eye. In these two pieces I used hard edges and big flowing curves to make each composition dynamic. I aligned letters so that they could relate to one another, giving movement to the pieces and capturing the viewers attention. By having an interesting composition and an understanding of direction and flow, the viewers eye will constantly be moving around the compositions.
