AVOS’ VODKA

To further explore typography and color, I dove into baugasm for some inspiration on gradient manipulation. After visiting local liquor stores, I wanted to create something that would push what is already on the shelves a bit further. To add some personality into the brand I also added the slogan “Embrace the unknown.” The slogan is a fun reference to the unique origin of the brand’s name. The meaning behind the name of the brand goes back to the historic Russian roots of vodka, I took the the Russian word - avos’- for the name. This word is ingrained in Russian culture and lifestyle. The meaning of avos’ is “maybe” and with that, the ability to simply trust in sheer luck and embracing that uncertainty. Through experimenting with type warping, I was also able to create a sense of movement within the logo. This further elevated the vibrancy of the identity against the gradient, and added a unique touch into the vibrant brand.
