Procedural Bangkok Street

Procedural Bangkok Street is a p5.js coding artwork aimed at capturing the liveliness and feeling of the dilapidated streets of Old Town Centre of Bangkok.
SVG illustrations were created as modules to be spread out across the Pseudo-one-point perspective landscape in a procedural manner. Each image are only vector coordinates done by breaking down SVG to vector points and having an algorithm that recreates the shape. In this way we can control more variables of the image such as color, opacity and stroke size, together creating stylized visuals.
The Landscape is designed to fit across different screen dimensions. Every new iteration of the program creates different color combinations that cycles through day and night. The viewpoint is also linked to the device’s Gyroscopic sensor, imitating an interactive 3d perspective.
This may be built upon to create unique artwork that reflects history in these digital times.
