Homebound Spirit Apparel Store
Project Objective: Rebrand a clothing apparel store
During the research for a store that we were going to rebrand for our assignment I was not finding quite the right store I wanted and was able to spin it off a little in order to fulfill this idea.
With a lot of cultures being appropriated by big names, I created a concept of an Indigenous store that could act as a central place where many artists and styles of art could sell though the store similar to how Eighth Generation has a store and their Inspired Natives project and would support the project as well.
The idea was similar but to try and reach out to connect as many artists of different backgrounds as there is not a standard way for native American culture and has many differences that has not been previous seen. When I was searching for Indigenous apparel stores they would only have certain styles or only a few items which would have not been enough for the project requirements. Hence the idea to create another store entirely.
It was also to help some reconnect back with their culture as many likely know very little or almost none at all. Having a piece of their culture can be just the life line they need.
