A commissioned piece based on my original 'Murmurs In the Empty Corner' created in 2016
.
It takes a hefty weight out of me to do (paint) something almost exactly the same, repeatedly. I like to move on after every completion, allowing each piece to preserve their own individuality. But there's nothing more desirable than a challenge infused with the opportunity to grow and learn. This piece turned out deeper and heavier on the details and form in comparison to the original, which was something I've always wanted to achieve
