Reiser Atlanta Artist Lab at the Alliance Theater
Prior to enrolling at Southern Methodist University, Alpha Lambda Delta inductee Zoe Reardon spent a summer teaching young children theater skills at The Alliance Theater in Atlanta, Georgia. In 2019, Zoe Reardon took on a three-month position as a business analyst with the theater and worked with the director to further develop the theater’s programming.

Established in 1968, The Alliance Theater offers classes, camps, and opportunities for artistic development. For six years, the Alliance has nurtured the work of novice artists through its Reiser Atlanta Artist Lab. The selective program attracts dozens of applicants from around the Atlanta area and offers a remarkable opportunity for under-resourced artists.

Every year, the Alliance selects three local artists to receive $10,000 towards production and development costs. Reisner Lab artists also gain access to all Alliance equipment and resources, including knowledgeable staff and production spaces. In the past six years, the program has funded musicals, one-person shows, and stage-directed plays.
