UFC 239 - Fight Poster & Fighter Series
As a fan, and as an Art Director, this was one of the projects that I’m super proud to have worked on at Petrol this year.
The challenge of reinventing the traditional fight poster, and developing a fresh visual to get the fans pumped up for an event is always an exciting one, and this particular one had a lot going for it.
The creative concept plays off attitudes and archetypes. Each persona radiates their energy to effect their typography and the visual language around them, breaking their boxes and borders.
This was another Petrol project that I felt really pushed the creativity and freedom of expression, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to contribute to it.
Thanks again to my Creative Director, Alan Hunter, who's collaboration and shared passion for the sport puts a rear-naked choke on our limitations. Also shout out to Petrol and the production team, and Pete Novak for the badass rez-up love. And thank you to Bobby Besabe, and the UFC Team for the opportunity.
