Christmas at First, 2019
Quarter page sized newspaper ad. The new worship minister mentioned he wanted to use a traditional Christmas red and he helped edit the general copy I sent him. And, yes, this is the same figure silhouette as 2017 but I tweaked it some - added an additional hand for Mary.
[I mean, come on - she looked kind of awkward with only one hand - why didn't anyone tell me?] and I moved them closer to the manger. I also edited the manger to look more like a feeding trough than the previous one since most of our target audience is familiar enough with the Christmas story to assume the baby is resting in a manger so I felt safe ditching the wood version for a more historically appropriate version.
Spirit of Christmas 2017
Double sided program - we purchased tracts that we attached to this side of the program and participants were encouraged to take it with them. I created the figures in Illustrator after some sketching. The basic comp was created in Photoshop and final print file created in InDesign. We outsourced these since the minister wanted a piece on heavier cardstock than our machine could handle and he wanted something with a full bleed. [And as is the case with this kind of event, there were many additional print/digital resources created with this look - in house ads, digital resources, signage, newspaper print ads, etc.]

One of the banners for Christmas 2017 - If I remember correctly, 2017 was the first time I suggested we use the "Christmas at First" slogan to unite all of our seasonal activities.
Spirit of Christmas, 2016
Sketched figures in pencil, scanned them and did the composition of the image in Photoshop with text layout in InDesign on Mac OS - As with many of these designs, there were several spin off print/digital needs for this [posters, banners, push cards, in-house print and digital ads, web ads, social media ads, newspaper ads, etc]
