Project Description
Clean the Moon is an an experimental interactive installation using the technology of Microsoft Kinect motion capture and a projector to project the display onto the surface. The interactive installation was a project concept created for 8TV's Mid Autumn Festival event, with the collaboration of The One Academy Graphic Design and Digital Media Design degree students.
Clean the Moon is an an experimental interactive installation using the technology of Microsoft Kinect motion capture and a projector to project the display onto the surface. The interactive installation was a project concept created for 8TV's Mid Autumn Festival event, with the collaboration of The One Academy Graphic Design and Digital Media Design degree students.
The purpose of the installation is to promote togetherness and also invites people to be more sociable with each other face-to-face instead of staring at their phones. Players can interact and bond with each other as a family or if the person comes alone, can play and interact with new people.
Storyboard
The wish granting factory gets power from moonlight. So, rabbits are sent up there to make sure the moon is clean. One day, a rabbit accidentally uses lotus paste instead of water and now the moon is dark! The rabbits need your help to clean the moon and make the factory run again! Help to clean the moon!
