2-D Brand Design
Introduction

For this Blog, I decided to show my creative process of my 2-D Brand Design for Digital Media class.  So lets get to it!

Materials
Hp laptop,George Brown Blackboard(submission & going through the assignment), Adobe Illustrator (to make the 2-D brand design), Photoshop(for the Fonts), Behance.net. (for making the portfolio of this assignment).

Creative Process

My creative process was rather simple for this project. I decided to do my logo brand based on a skateboard company, because I love skateboarding.  Also, for my logo I decided to do a wheel with fire to represent all types of skateboards, roller skates, etc..

Work Flow

To start off the process I went to the "George Brown Blackboard" website, and I opened up the Digital Media page and clicked on unit 10 2-D brand design  and read through the instructions.

After reading the instructions, I had to download the BrandingGuide1.pdf template to answer the following questions for my company, So I can advertise my company/brand products.

Template
Got my brainstorming done.
furthermore, after finishing off with my brainstorm, I opened up Adobe Illustrator, and started working on my logo brand design.
I started off going through google images and looking for clip art skateboard wheels with fire photos as reference so I can also trace it... since I can't really digitally draw.

My Work
Moving on forward, after tracing I decided to open up Photoshop and use the fonts they have for my brand company name which is called "SkateB", and for my slogan which is also "Ride With Pride".
For the Slogan and the company name I used the same font which was "SabbathBlack OT Regular".
From there on, I copied and pasted the fonts on to Adobe illustrator.
For the final step in making the logo brand design,  I decided to put the "SkateB" text on top of the logo to make it look creative and more interesting, and the slogan on the right side of the wheel but also two of the letters on top of the wheel.

After doing that, I just lowered the opacity for the logo and made the fonts black so it can be more noticeable, so the audience/customers can actually see what the company is and to be interested in what the company is and sells.
In the end, what I did was, I grouped the fonts and the logo together, and then I copied and pasted my logo design on to the reflection question page for submission.
Finally, this is how my 2-D brand design turned out, which is pretty creative. :)
The Submission

For the submission, I exported my file to "save as web" on the Adobe illustrator to save my work first.

After doing that, I headed back to Blackboard, back on the same page that I was on at first, which was on the Digital media page, assignments, unit 10 2-D brand design.
and then what I did was, I scrolled down to View/Complete Assessment and then to submit my file that I had saved "NatalieDabbaghianBrand.pdf" , I attached this link to each question that I had to submit to for grading.
Once I did that, I finally was done with my brand design, I submitted it in, and It was a success.

Conclusion
Overall, at first this assignment was difficult for me, because I didn't know where to start from, but after the work of hard thinking, I came up with this amazing idea to create a brand logo for skateboards. Why? because skateboards are the most popular product in this generation, everyone wants a skateboard, or wants to ride one. I even love skateboarding, that's another reason why I decided to do this brand design. But either than that my 2-D brand design turned out the way I wanted to, it is amazingly done, and I am proud of myself for completing this logo brand design successfully.
