VM COMPETITION - 1st VM Window Display implemented in NIFT Bangalore
Window Display designed on 150th birthday of Mahatma Gandhi

Concept: Weaving Sustainability by eradicating type one plastic.
We have taken inspiration from  Gandhi’s environment friendly campaigns in to consideration and decided to pay homage via the window.  The given environment conditions have got everybody to make an effort to contribute their due share and India’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyan run under Mahatma Gandhi’s ideologies was implemented long before climate change was a buzz word on social media.

In the window, the “charkha” is symbolic of Mahatma Gandhi’s presence and activism in india to connect a link with Gandhi Jayanti. However, the yarn coming out of the charkha eventually becomes into a wave. While at the end of the wave is composed of discarded waste, the wave initially begins with sustainable goods. The wave represents a notion of sustainable goods removing type 1 plastic. Therefore, the concept of the window is in line with Mahatma Gandhi, his ideologies and the current environment changes as well.
