DRIFT
DRIFT is a VR animation about protecting the environment. It follows the story of a young boy who falls into the sea and is rescued by a mermaid. The viewer is then carried with them in virtual reality on a journey through an underwater landscape which is beautiful at first but as they travel they witness damage done by pollution, rubbish and trawler damage. On the way they encounter various sea creatures including friendly fish and a sea turtles and are chased by a menacing shark. They also have to flee from a trawler net as it tears up the sea bed.
My job was the design and art direction. Here are a few of the character drawings.
