For Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML) patients, 9.22 is a magical and meaningful number. Max Family Society Malaysia has been working with CML patients for more than 10 years. Over the past 10 years, Max Family Society Malaysia has seen many unexpected achievements from CML patients and their families.

Goal

In year 2019, Max Family Society Malaysia made a decision to organize a virtual walk named “9.22 Walk for CML”. This activity is primarily about making the public aware of CML and understanding the unique of CML patients.

I was delegated to handle the entire project, mainly in the key visuals and merchandises. As it requires certain complexity ideation of merchandise creation, I had to think of ways to produce a feasible and practical mechanism for the medals and collar pins.

Approach

The concept of this race is a unity, love and support. We came up with the idea of partnering race, whereby each contestant has to have a paired partner in the race. It reflects on how the merchandise will look.

Process

1. I went on to research on combined pieces of medal and collar pin designs.

2. The key colors and design is aim to be according to the logo branding.

3. Certain aspects of the run draws influence from The Color Run where splashes of

colors to represent celebration to commemorate the survival of Leukimia patients.
