This was a semester project for a Fashion Color and Trend Forecasting class.
This booklet is a guide for upcoming trends for the Fall/Winter 2012 season. It is comprised of five different themes, each based around a specific color palette (pastels, basics, midtones, brights and darks).
This book was printed as a 12"x12" book, and below is the complete collection of spreads. Each theme has a specific inspiration and includes pictures of inspiration, possible looks and accessories,
examples from the runway, and color and fabric swatches.
Collection 1: Pastels
"Vintage Romance"
Inspired by lace, florals, and vintage toy cameras.
Looks are feminine, soft, light, and slightly casual.
Collection 2: Basics
"Into the Wild"
Inspired by the power of the elements and bohemian life.
Looks are layered, with mixed prints and eccentric accents.
Collection 3: Midtones
"Mythical Goddess"
Inspired by ancient mediterranean goddesses.
Looks include empire waists, flowing trains, and metallic accents.
Collection 4: Brights
"Destination India"
Inspired by the colorful and exotic culture of India.
Looks include draping, color blocking, and simple silhouettes.
Collection 5: Darks
"Gothic Glam"
Inspired by the nocturnal and supernatural.
Looks are formal eveningwear - sexy and sultry.
