EURASIA EXPRESS is the train which runs the route from trans-Korea railway, trans-Siberian railway to trans-Europe.
After declaration of Panmunjeom from the inter-Korean summit on April 27 2018, the heads of the two Koreas announced train connection of Gyeongui railway and modernization project. Since reconciliation between the two Koreas, the interest and expectancy about Korea railway which can connect to trans-Siberian railway have been bigger.
In conference of Organization for Cooperation of Railways on June 7 2018, South Korea joined full membership by unanimous consent of 28 countries including North Korea. If railway between South and North Korea is connected, the Eurasia express which binds trans-Siberian railway and trans-Europe will be completed. Furthermore, Korea will be the starting and the last station of the Eurasia express.
‘EURASIA EXPRESS’ is designed to encourage the social atmosphere in which the expectations of trans-Eurasia trains have risen due to the mood of reconciliation between South and North Korea. The three lines of the logo are designed using the morphological similarity of train railway and letter E. And blue, which symbolizes hope and peace, is used as the representative color of the brand.
