Book Design
Created a book cover and interior for Linn Ullmann’s short story Time for the Eyes to Adjust Use of strong dividing line helps to make reference to the light and dark motifs within the story; seeing and not seeing. Sideways type also uses ideas of seeing and refocusing. Having it on its side makes viewer spend more time with it and look closer or further just as eyes do in the dark. Inside text and formatting is also following the same boarder proportions as the cover.
