I had a chance to cooperate with and amazing TEDx initiative in Krakow - the city I live in. I was asked to design identification for main conference in 2018. Its theme was "Illumination". Project coordinator I worked with said "Illumination for me is something light, bright and colorful in the same time". I took this sentence as my starting point.
I created several propositions of the theme:
After the idea was chosen, I made some changes - font had to be simple and it all had to look good both on black as on white background. We decided to make all much simpler, so it matches the idea and spirit of TEDx conferences. That's how we ended with final version of the theme.
Theme was used in all Web resources as website, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
I made a design of all ID cards of the event. Each group of participants was marked out by different color. On the front side, there was a space left for the sticker on which each participant could write his/her favourite topic of conversation. On the back side, there was an event's agenda
Sticker design was supposed to be more fun than other designs but also connected with "light" and "illumination" topic. From four propositions, one was chosen.
