NOKIA #BeTheGift 2018

Platinum AVA & Brand Film Festival Award Winner

Parents live for their children. Watching them grow into adulthood and leave their home behind is always a bittersweet experience. For Christmas 2018, Nokia wanted to remind both parents and children that family is forever, no matter what life brings. Released  just in time for the holiday season, 'Be the Gift' is the spiritual successor to HMD Nokia’s 2017 #BeTheGift campaign.

InnovateUK 2018 

Audiences of the Future

InnovateUK is a government research and innovation agency whose mission is to provide funding for the UK’s most exciting and technology-driven young companies. They asked us to create a compelling video that would generate awareness of the program and convince media entrepreneurs to apply. We wanted to produce something immediately gripping, in the same way that our ancestors were enthralled by stories of gods and heroes many centuries ago. Using a mixture of 3D animation, 2D paintings and live action, this campaign celebrates the past while getting our audience excited about the future.

BCG: Fuel Stations of the Future

Explainer Animation

Boston Consulting Group aims to anticipate the industry challenges of the next few decades. This animation explains the earthquakes that will shake the fuel retail sector by the 2030s, and how businesses in this space can rebuild and adapt. We produced a colourful animation that's brimming with optimism, with a fun sci-fi feel.

Nokia Insurance 2019

Social Channel Animation

Featuring an accident-prone character who can't seem to catch a break, this fun little animation takes smartphone users through Nokia's insurance offering. It's a little different from the content we usually produce, but all the more charming for it. Said character is set to be the star of his own content series for the Finnish phone giant.

The De Beers Institute of Diamonds

Education Sales Pack Animation

The De Beers Group don't just produce and sell diamonds. They also offer a comprehensive education program, allowing stakeholders and retailers to train their staff in the art and science of diamonds, from pit mine to engagement ring. The challenge was to produce materials that would assist De Beers partners in selling this service to their clients. In an industry often bogged down by a lack of innovation, we convinced established giants to replace their existing training courses with a new product that adds value at the retail stage and speaks to their passion for these precious minerals.

HSBC: Belt and Road Initiative

Fast-track your way to BRI opportunities.

HSBC commissioned this animation to explain China's infrastructure and global development strategy to potential investors. With simple 2D vector animation and an authoritative, bright and forward-thinking tone of voice, we turned potentially flat subject matter into a robust call to action.

Saint Alban

Short Film

Now this one is a little different. It's more of a passion project; a homage to the man who married my grandmother. A man who lived his life completely and unreservedly. A man who experienced personal tragedies and the excesses of post-war France, and came out laughing. A man with a wicked sense of humour, tempered with a love of women. 

He wrote semi-autobiographical novels under the pen-name St. Alban; my very talented director of a sister decided to adapt one of these into a short feature film. 

St. Alban is our tribute: a snapshot of a man who never stopped living, and the women who inspired him.

Adarga: Actionable Intelligence

Explainer Animation

We developed this neat and compact little animation to explain Adarga's service offering to the general public. Emerging technologies like cloud computing, Blockchain and the Internet of Things can seem overwhelming and inscrutable for many people. That's why we presented Adarga's revolutionary data insights technology in a way that makes it seem a little less... daunting.
