Antithesis; rhetoric: the juxtaposition of contrasting ideas, phrases, or words so as to produce an effect of balance
Everything in this world is a form of dualism. In it, you can always find balance. Opposite and contrary forces exist but are interconnected in a way that creates harmony.
Yin and Yang are one of these many concepts that illustrate the two sides of dualism.
Shadows cannot exist without light.
Black does not contrast without white.
Calm does not exist without chaos.
I wanted to take these diametrically opposed concepts and create a cohesive collection. Colliding black and white reveals the relationship of contrast but it is further enforced by using a mix of opaque and transparent fabrics that eventually create equilibrium in its disorganisation.
