Manga style wall graphics
(Varroc Pune)
This was a wall graphics project I worked on at Awchat & Olsen design in Mumbai.
This project was undertaken to liven up the breakout rooms of a company called Varroc.
Varroc is a global automotive component manufacturer and supplier of exterior lighting systems, powertrains, electrical and electronics, body and chassis parts to passenger car and motorcycle segments worldwide.
Sketches and Ideation
Since Varroc was mainly into the automobile industry, the content was centered around that.
The style was supposed to be stimulating and dynamic.
Manga was used as an inspiration to come up with a raw and gritty style
This was combined with an eye popping colour scheme of 2 colours .
The final design
The final design was a combination of some elements from different concepts.
Gone was the gritty style and a slightly more heavy black elements were used.
Ultimately sticking to a slightly soothing purple colour #7865ad was used,
For the yellow #fbad18 was used. A layer of halftone pattern was also used adding to the retro comic style vibe of the illustration.
