My diploma work is based on MGMT’s song TSLAMP. The song is a satiric ode to how cellphones have detrimentally effected the way the human race interacts with each other. The song’s title “TSLAMP” is
an acronym for the line "Time Spent Looking At My Phone”. With grotesque illustrations I reflect on the ironical lyrics. One spread displays one strophe from the song. To puzzle out the meaning we have to use the blue and the red phone-shaped decoders which are slipped into the book cover.
