Creating a combined living and working space in a residential area of Tokyo for a Japanese Grandmother and Grandfather. Using 3 shipping container of a range of sizes that link together and internally open-up to create a flowing space. 
The project focuses around the needs of the client and the home is designed with their lifestyle in mind. A spare room is provided for the often-visiting grandchildren and the ground floor has an open feel due to the glass interior walls helping natural light to spread through out the space. Due to their love of nature and passion in tai chi an indoor garden is incorporated within the design proposed allowing them to comfortably experience the natural environment no matter the weather. The central focus of the design is the tree that stretches from the indoor garden to the roof garden linking the two spaces together and bringing the outdoors indoor.
