This was a project for my friend as a wedding gift. It was a part of a memory book. The explanation follows.

We decided to create a book with pages created by various people. The topic and the technique was free.

Both friends of the bride and the groom contributed, so in the end we had quite a thick collection of different memory pages.

I wanted to create some photo collage with both of them. Whereas I have known the bride since childhood, I've known the groom only briefly and therefore I didn't have any photos of him.

However, he visited our summer camp for children a few times, so I used photos when they were both dressed as native Americans and I used it as a topic for my collage.

The process of creation is too complicated and long to describe it simply. In general, I used various layers of filters to achieve a pencil-like look.

I also cloned patterns from other pictures as background. The native designs in the background are traced in Illustrator.

During the final stage, I just coloured the outlines of people to achieve a bit softer look. If you can see it, there is also an old paper texture in the background.

This is the final result which I simply printed on a photo paper.
