A design for a new signature Deadmau5 'mau5head' to be worn on stage during Deadmau5 “unplugged” sets. Done for a contest hosted by Talenthouse in partnership with Deadmau5.
About the Design: EDM producer deadmau5 has built many of his songs on programs he wrote himself. From his first IT job to his stage name, which originated as a messageboard alias, video games and computer culture are huge influences on his identity as an artist. This design combines the mau5head with the look of a three-dimensional modeling program interface (like Maya or Cinema4d) to appear as if it is "rendering" in cyberspace.
Alternate Color Field: Red gridwork lights up from blue to red. One eye goes red in the transition from good to evil Mau5, inspired by Deadmau5's Halloween performance of "Moar Ghosts N' Stuff."
