Mahakala is a Sanskrit of maha ("great") and kāla ("time/death"), which means "beyond time" or death
The Tibetan name "Nagpo Chenpo"  Tibetan means Great Black One. Tibetans also use the word Gönpo (Tibetan mgon po) which means protect.

Dragon.
The dragon is another mythical creature of the four venerable animals (the four dignities) of the Bhutanese mysticism. Together, the four dignities help people during their life to achieve happiness. The dragon represents wisdom and compassion and lives above all other beings in heaven.
The elaborately carved mask is richly decorated and shows black dots on a green background enriched with golden ornaments. Short white horns, which are removable, embellish the dragon. To enjoy the mask, it can be placed on a shelf or hung on the wall, as it has two holes at the top.
Garuda. (Eagle)
Garuda is a horned bird-like mythical creature and one of the four venerable animals (the four dignities) in the Bhutanese mysticism. Together, the four dignities help people during their life to achieve happiness. Garuda is the ruler of the skies, symbolising fearlessness and strength.
.
Atsara.
Astara is a Bhutanese clown who performs at the Tshechus, the traditional festivals which last for 3 to five days. With his rude and often obscene jokes, he entertains the audience and makes them laugh. He usually wears a big red phallic symbol on his head. He does not only do his jokes in the breaks between the dances, but also during the performances. It seems as if he could do whatever he wants. People love him for that.
Tiger.
The tiger (Tak in Dzongkha) is one of the four venerable animals (the four dignities) in the mysticism of Bhutan. The four dignities bring people strength, wisdom and happiness. Quietly walking on the earth, the tiger stands for modesty, attention and confidence.
This has been a great project for me as a student, and starting digital illustrations, concerntrating on traditional ethnics of Sikkim and Bhutan also based on Buddhism. I got to learn a lot through this process, and it was so much fun.

Hope you like it. Thank you.
