Welcome to Bird City Favorites is created with Adobe XD using pen & ink drawings that were scanned and enhanced with Adobe Photoshop filters and layer effects, and the charming icon kit designed by Lance Wyman. I only learned of the contest a few days before the deadline but thought it would be a really fun way to see what XD can do. Welcome to Bird City Favorites was created in the Medford, Salt Lake City, San Diego and Seattle airports, and in the air flying between these spots to reach a conference sponsored by my employer. The drawings of birds in a swirling, spirograph-influenced environment that I have come to think of as "Bird City" were created several years ago and posted on my website www.VirtualBlossom.com, thus I had easy access to the assets needed for this piece, even though I was far from my home studio.
