Boys & Girls Club of Sarasota County came to us looking for help with two promotional issues. The first being to increase volunteer and donation numbers. The other being to come up with a new name for their Man, Woman & Youth of the Year event. 

*This campaign was chosen by the Boys & Girls Club of Sarasota County and was printed in the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. They also used our event idea, our logo, and invited us to attend the luncheon at which they also featured our work.

In this campaign, we wanted to emphasize how much of an impact you can really have on a child's future, even by doing the smallest things. Our solution to gain both volunteers and donors, was to invite them to invest in Sarasota's future by replicating the emotional connection between children and volunteers.

The Man, Woman & Youth of the Year event was created by the Boys & Girls Clubs to recognize the most humble and selfless individuals in your area. Our event name idea for the 2012 Sarasota County event was "Community Superstars".  We felt that the true definition of "superstars" was exactly what this award encompassed. And while most people consider celebrities from movies or TV to be superstars, we felt the true superstars are those who are right here going above and beyond for your community.

Nomination Ad: Sarasota County was encouraged to nominate fellow neighbors for the Boys & Girls Club of Sarasota County's Community Superstar award.

Event Ad: Once the nominees were official, ticket and event info promoting the actual event was printed inviting Sarasota to recognize their Community Superstars.

In order to gain attention to the event, and votes for the nominees, we created an "Honorary Tweeter" twitter page for Boys & Girls Club of Sarasota County. Each week, a different Youth of the Year nominee would have a chance to control the Boys & Girls Club of Sarasota County page and tweet about both themselves and the event. This would give the public some insight on this year's nominees and event/ticket information.

To promote the event around town, we would create Hollywood Walk of Fame style stickers that have this year's nominees names and event information. We would place these in high foot trafficked areas around Sarasota and also put a QR code going right to the page where tickets could be purchased.
