THE BRIEF Design a self-promotional brand. Displaying your skills as a designer. THE CREATIVE STRATEGY The strategy for this self-promotional consists of breaking the misconception of the community. The community has a misconception of designers, specifically my hand skills. Thus by designing a brand that will introduce my unique skills as a graphic designer to a future employer. THE CONCEPT The community has a misconception of designers (My) hand skills. By designing a trademark that will introduce my skills as a graphic designer to a future employer. By breaking the misconception by proving that I as a designer delivers quality work regardless of the fact that my hands can not stand still/shaky. That's exactly why I can do quality work because my hands can not stop shaking, they just want to work. THE EXECUTION The illustration style and colour choices of the branding use colourful shape elements,  bright colours and vectors that immediately draw attention. The patterns and shapes suggest the movement of a hummingbird’s wing, flower shapes and hand tremor patterns. The colours were inspired by hummingbird’s feathers and the flowers they take nectar from.  The print collateral consists of envelope system, a letterhead and quote sheets, a mini portfolio, USB packaging, a curriculum vitae (CV) and promotional items relating to the concept.
