New Vision - Brave Vision

The opening project in the first year of my study on the BA course in the UAL, LCC. The brief was to choose one of the texts given us the list of 10 (media or art theme), read it and develop idea found in the text. At the end, it should be visually represented in the book or zine.
This work has taken beginning from an essay by Susan Sontag "The Heroism of Vision". For a project, I have chosen an idea of what is beauty and what people do to feel beautiful: either neutral or changed. My focus was on the diversity people who found themselves more beautiful and confident in the changed visual look.
The first part of the magazine is about an artist, sound producer, musician and my good friend - Noel. He is a transgender so I decided to explore his way of changing gender.
Another part is a reportage about a drag-queens. I have documented the moment where they are changing their look from casual to the more appropriate to them and then headed with them to the party.
