Botanical Garden wedding Montreal

Caroline and Vartan were among the very few who knew about my trip to Japan nearly one year ago. As I explained my intention in catching the cherry blossom, I noticed the glow in Caroline’s eyes. Although I didn’t have the means to bring them to Japan and that our climate was too cold for cherry trees, I promised to offer the next best thing which was the blooming of the Montreal Botanical Garden crabapples.

The petals come and go like the wind and as a result, there are only a few days within the year where one can catch the glorious Botanical Garden crabapples at their peak. Unfortunately, spring was unusually cold this year. The low temperature caused delays in the flowering, not to mention, numerous rescheduling of our photo session. With their wedding date quickly approaching, I started to doubt whether this was a good idea. After all, we had plenty of opportunities back in summer, autumn or even winter so taking such risks was totally unnecessary.

This couple showed incredible patience and determination for having faith all along. I made them wait long enough so anything less than stellar would be unacceptable. Let’s just say that I didn’t have much choice, I was told well in advance that these images would end up hanging on their walls!
