ASIAN AMERICAN MEDIA
POSTER DESIGN
These three posters were designed to promote a talk on the harmful Asian stereotypes in American media and how current creators and writers can combat them.
I hand lettered the title to be similar to Japanese kanji symbols whilst also using subtle references to Asian culture that has often been used inappropriately in media such as the use of kimonos as cultural appropriation and confusing the locations of the Great Wall and Mt. Fuji.
These posters were done for the University of Bridgeport's English Department for their Necessary Voices talk series and put up around the campus.
