House of Voodoo - Louisiana Voodoo Kit

The objective for this project was to design
a 2-color cylinder storage container for a magic kit.
The final product I came up with was for a Louisiana Voodoo Kit
named House of  Voodoo.

The kit is meant for serious believers wanting to learn
the rituals and practices of Louisiana Voodoo.
Believers can use the voodoo kit to control their luck,
hex those who have done them wrong,
or even bind the ones they love.
The inspiration for the design came from
French Quarter style architecture that surrounds New Orleans.
I began with the idea of using an image of a French Quarter
house and then came up with the name
House of Voodoo to tie in the imagery.

I liked the idea of fog creating an area of white space
at the bottom of the container for the product name.
And also of incorporating the fog with the type
in order to add a bit of dimension to the type
and have the imagery and type interacting with each other.
