I designed The Raven and The Writing Desk poster for the Chesapeake Arts Center. All of the art was first hand drawn and then vectorized using the pen tool in Adobe Illustrator. In order to get the strokes to be exactly the texture and thickness I desired I pen tooled both the inside and outside of each stroke before combining them. I paid careful attention to shading in this poster as I really wanted the candle light look to be effective. The typefaces used are Aquarelle and Constantia.
