The Malibu pier is a known landmark in Southern California. Many films and television shows have made Malibu famous around the world. I grew up surfing right next to the Malibu pier so, this piece is very much a part of my history as well. The project called for a series of retro-designs that would capture the look and feel of Malibu and its classic surfing culture.
