Art should not just be on paper, but also in the world. While walking around my neighborhood here in San Francisco, I noticed the bumble & honey bees out pollinating the flowers in my neighbors garden. It was fascinating to me that there could be so much nature & wildlife even in a city made mostly of concrete. By combining my illustrations with the world, the illustrations come out of their artificial inky world and into our real, vibrant world.
