I wrote the following for my persuasion class policy debate. I am not usually a word-for-word script speaker but felt I needed to change what I was doing to become more persuasive. Writing out the speech helped me become more purposeful about my word choice.
This particular debate was unique in that each group consisted of four to five members. Instead of a two-sided debate, each group member represented a different part of society and presented the policy change they wished to see based on that group. My group chose Teen Pregnancy as the issue. I represented the School Districts.
