Black and White Portraiture

Canadian Photojournalist, Ted Grant, once said, "When you photograph people in color, you photograph their clothes. But when you photograph people in black and white, you photograph their souls!”  It is hard to argue with the depth and emotion that a strong black and white portrait can evoke. When color is removed, time stands still, reality retreats, and we pause to read the subject's face without distraction.
