Old Flyer Designs
The following are a bunch of club and rave flyers I designed from around 2004-2007. I stumbled into flyer design almost by accident. I was DJing and started throwing parties with my friends, but we couldn't afford to pay anyone to make flyers for our events. I had a little experience using Photoshop and making boring application forms at my job, so I volunteered to take a crack and making our flyers.
I made some pretty horrible ones, but it was a fantastic, anything goes experience in learning how to manipulate images and lay out type. There was so much freedom and I stole/borrowed ideas from anything I could get my hands on.
I had so much fun making flyers that I began to question my career path and it was the sense that maybe I should be doing something creative for a living that led me to look into going back to school for design.
