The birds on his scarf represent freedom. For the wolf I used the pen tool to draw a wolf, then I went back used the brush tool to create his fur. The blur effect was also used to create shadows. For the man, I used the gradient mesh on his skin. His shirt was created with the pen tool and detailed with the blur effect. The scarf was also created with the pen tool and blur effect. The background was created with the pen tool as well and then blurred out to show the man as the main focal point.
