Print Ads - Nike

The challenge of this assignment was to create an advertisment across various cultures for Nike. The idea was to present a theme common among culturally different audiences.
The unforseen winner tortoise, from ‘The Tortoise and the Hare’ story, is a well-known figure that beats an unequally stronger but overconfident opponent through sheer will power and steady diligence. The tortoise has been used as a figurative representation of Nike’s philosophy of challenging one’s own weaknesses. 
The challenge of this assignment was to create an advertisement for Nike which is culturally inclined towards the Indian audience. 
The Qutub Minar is one of the most popular monuments of the Indian heritage. This ancient symbol of victory goes in perfect harmony with ‘Nike’, which in literal terms is the name of the Greek goddess of ‘victory’ itself.   
The aim was to promote football in India. 
The poster depicted a pregnant woman clutching her stomach and a Nike T90 football zooming towards it. 
The mother experiences her baby’s first kick, which was a reaction to the approaching football.
