In 2008 Honda became the most fuel efficient auto company in America. To get the word out we invented “Moe, the lonely gas man”.

Commercials ran with Moe singing about how fewer and fewer Hondas were stopping at his gas station. We put up ads on gas pumps that read “Dear Honda drivers, the rest rooms that way, since you’re probably not here for gas. Billboards that simply showed our gas attendant saying “Dear Honda drivers,

I miss you.”

Because so few Honda drivers were stopping by for gas, Moe needed to hit the web and look for new friends on Social media sites. which aloud us to contact people in a fun way and deliver our message of fuel efficiency.
