Reorganization of the ex Sani barrack and design of an auditorium, Bologna.
The urban context in which the project is inserted is the district of Bolognina, delimited by the railway, the ring road, a busy highway and a river course. In the immediate surroundings of the project area there are many center of attraction like the Fair, the Central station, the ex-tobacco factory, some University sites. Everything is potentially connectable via a disused railway line and the creation of new connections as the People Mover. The project select some existent buildings of the ex barrack to convert in new cultural functions. The new draft insists on a residential complex, designed for temporary housing for students and workers of the Technopole, and an au-ditorium. This is articuled in two volumes, the main one contains two concert halls of different dimensions and the smaller one is glassed and hold an exhibition space. About the park it has been preserved the existing trees that characterize all public spaces, incremented by new plantings.
