MUSIC INTERPRETATION PARAMETERS
The goal of this project was to develop multiple typographical compositions in a conceptual and personal context. The goal for this project was to develop a rationale for interpreting a piece of music through typography, imagery and layout.
We chose a piece of music and wrote it down, gathered and/or researched every idea, emotion, metaphor and visual that we associated with the song using our own description. After these pieces were designed, we used different projectors to compose them onto various surfaces to create more dimensional design solutions. We needed to gather various pieces of paper, metal, plexi, etc—whatever we felt was interesting to project our designs onto.
I chose A Thousand Years song by Christina Perri because I felt that I could interpret the song as art work.
