Alexander McQueen
Tactile
This is a tactile poster to promote an upcoming fictional exhibition for Alexander McQueen. Alexander McQueen was an American fashion designer, mostly known for his avant-garde designs. He once said that “It is important to look at death because it is a part of life. It is a sad thing, melancholic but romantic at the same time. It is the end of a cycle—everything has to end. The cycle of life is positive because it gives room for new things.” Although he has passed away, his legacy will continue because he had made a huge impact in the fashion industry. One of his most well recognised design is his armadillo shoe hence in this tactile poster, I have combined the shoe with his theatrical catwalk style consisting of mirrored floor, flowers, feathers, etc. Since, he believes that there is beauty in everything, real flowers were used to create this work to create the decaying look.
