Peek a Boo

Peek a boo is inspired by the second collection I have taken Inspiration from the traditional Japanese embroidery technique of Sashiko.

Sashiko is a form of decorative reinforcement stitching (or functional embroidery) from Japan. Traditionally used to reinforce points of wear, or to repair worn places or tears with patches, this running stitch technique is often used for purely decorative purposes in quilting and embroidery. The white cotton thread on the traditional indigo blue cloth gives sashiko its distinctive appearance, though decorative items sometimes use red thread embroidery.

The folk embroidery used is fairly simple with simple running stitches created in parallel lines or grid patterns created using machine work. The idea of the collection is to keep the looks simple creating bold and classic day wear clothing.
The collection has been carried out on the original sashiko colors - Indigo, White and Red. and completed on Natural dyed organic cotton.
